Hi, I’m Haroon. My friends say I have “restaurant owner energy,” which is funny because, well, I don’t got a restaurant. My big “why I do what I do” has always been bringing people together so they can grow. I’m deeply invested in working on projects alongside highly ambitious people to create a world I want to live in. A world where people can feel seen and a little less alone.
Currently, I run a creative agency called Sofra Experiences where I work with companies to create special moments through curated dinners and launch videos. I also recently produced Reading Room, where people met on Wednesdays to read essays and talk over chai. But where I refined my chops in events was through Chai & Vibes, a series of gatherings for young Muslim Americans across San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York. Along the way, I’ve made dinners and physical spaces where people meet, linger and sometimes start things together.
I’m the type of guy that loves jumping head first into rabbitholes. I’m a big believer in the interpersonal component of learning, I think we can learn a lot from each other. If you’re a curious person who loves exploring ideas and or invested in the craft of making people feel seen, let’s chat.
